The September 19th meeting of the Rotary Club of Suffolk was abruptly interrupted shortly after starting by the radiant and long missed smile of Honorary Rotarian Lynette White. Grinning from ear to ear, Lynette’s entrance was celebrated with a standing ovation from the entire club. Lynette, a true survivor, has once again fought and won another courageous battle with cancer. She has recently completed another round of chemotherapy and announced during the sick report that after head to toe scans by her doctors, she was free of any evidence of cancer. She will continue to do periodic chemotherapy treatments prophylactically and we hope she will come and visit the club more often now that she is feeling better.
